BII welcomes subject matter experts

Neil Goldsmith and Charlotte Vedel are the first two subject matter experts to officially join BII on the mission to help build viable start-ups.

They will both start working with BII after the summer in the network of subject matter experts that the projects in BII programs will meet.

Charlotte Vedel will support on IP issues and IP strategy as well as on specific legal issues and requirements. Charlotte has a Ph.D. in biotech and has worked with IP for several years in DuPont as both Vice President, IP Leader and Head of IP Strategy. She is the former CTO of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability.

Neil Goldsmith will support projects in BII with entrepreneurship and business development. For the past 30 years, he has worked across borders with life science start-ups. He was co-founder of TopoTarget, which listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange as well as co-founder of Evolva, which he led from a three-person start-up to one of the world’s leading synthetic biology companies with 170 employees.
