On November 20, BioInnovation Institute officially opened the doors to the 2,300 square meters of open offices and state of the art laboratories in Copenhagen.
Watch the one-minute recap of the day here.
Two companies, RetiPharma and STipe Therapeutics, have already moved in as part of the Creation House program and in a few months, BII will welcome more startups. If you want to join, read more about our open calls.
The guest of honor at the opening event was the minister of industry, business and financial affairs, Rasmus Jarlov. He gave a speech alongside Søren E. Frandsen from the Innotech committee of Universities Denmark, Lars Rebien Sørensen, chair of the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s board of directors and Sten Scheibye, chair of the BII board of directors.
Maja Rennig from the BII startup Mycropt also took the stage and talked about how she went from being a Ph.D. student to understanding business and taking on the role as CTO in Mycropt during her time in the Business Acceleration Academy program at BII.
Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate our big day.
