Maria works with the development and execution of the Venture Lab. She is an expert on the program, especially since she has personally been through BII’s programs twice.

She worked as Project Lead for Octarine and Head of Operations at Twelve Bio, two new and innovative start-ups. This also means that Maria is your contact if you want any insight into the Venture Lab program. She is originally from Portugal, where she did her bachelor’s in Biology at the University of Lisbon and afterward started her master’s in Biology at The University of Copenhagen, where she also holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology.
