Anne directs the Bio Studio program and is responsible for managing the Bio Studio project portfolio and ensuring the very best support and opportunity for the projects on their three-year journey to successful company creation. As part of a cross-functional BII effort, Anne also works on ensuring a successful and sustainable scale-up of the Bio Studio program.

Anne holds an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen, followed by an industrial Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the Hemostasis Biology department at Novo Nordisk. A postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Canada led to 6 years at a biotech start-up company in Vancouver, working on the preclinical development of a small molecule for the treatment of drug-resistant brain cancer. She has 15+ years of experience working in the overlap between academia, biotech, and pharma in various roles, all focused on the translation of great science into real-world impact. Furthermore, she has a strong passion for science communication that has resulted in various articles and opinion pieces for science magazines, the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology, Canadian Science Writer Association, and health organizations.
