Eight start-ups join BII

BioInnovation Institute is very proud to reveal the names of the first eight life science start-ups that have joined the institute and the trial run of the Business Acceleration Academy program. They are all start-ups to watch and their research and innovations have the potential to benefit human welfare and society.

Over the course of 10 weeks, the eight life science teams will move into the brand new BII office spaces and get access to a specialized business acceleration program and a unique mentor and expert network to bring their research closer to market.

Mycropt (industrial biotech). Mycropt has developed a holistic technology platform for optimizing protein production in microbes

Fermbiotics (industrial biotech). FermBiotics is a human health company developing naturally fermented plant products for improving gut health by health activity and microbiome modulation. https://fermbiotics.com/

HeartView (medtech). HeartView has developed a diagnostic tool for high-speed ultrasound imaging for improved accuracy of irregularities in the heart.

Circle Biomedical (medtech). Circle Biomedical provide easy on-demand birth control for women http://getcircle.co/

RetiPharma (pharma). RetiPharma is a Biotech company focused on developing novel treatments for neurodegenerative eye diseases.

Stipe Therapeutics (pharma). STipe Therapeutics is an early stage biotech company spun out from the University of Aarhus with a focus on harnessing the immune system to battle cancer.  http://stipetherapeutics.com/

InProTher (pharma). InProTher pursues vaccines and immunotherapy against HIV, papillomaviruses and cancer.

Bainan Biotech (pharma). Bainan Biotech has developed a novel treatment for bone-related diseases.
