Molly Stevens is a Professor of Biomedical Materials and Regenerative Medicine in the Department of Materials and the Department of Bioengineering and the Research Director for Biomedical Material Sciences at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London. She joined Imperial College London as a lecturer in 2004 after postdoctoral training in Professor Robert Langer’s laboratory in the Chemical Engineering Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In her career, she developed many patented technologies and established entrepreneurial and translational frameworks. For example, she is currently serving as Director of the UK Regenerative Medicine Programme Hub and has structured this to have embedded commercial, manufacturing, safety, immunology, and regulatory expert panels. She has also previously been CSO of a spin-out company and is currently supporting the spinout of three startups from her research group.
