Expand and mature at BII
With the BII Residence Program, your start-up can relocate to BII to be part of our entrepreneurial environment and expand its global network.
Life science companies that have raised VC funding or other forms of financing and reached a greater maturity level than participants of other BII programs are eligible for the program. The Residence Program does not offer funding.
Your company will rent space on market terms and access our open offices and fully functional labs in an attractive physical environment with a great community.
Your team will work next to start-ups from BII’s Venture Lab, Venture House, and Bio Studio programs.
Additionally, BII can offer business development assistance or entrepreneurship training.
To apply for the BII Residence program, please submit a non-confidential slide deck with information on your company, including product(s), technology, team, and commercialization strategy. In the slide deck, please specify what kind of data you will need to produce at BII, your space and equipment requirements, your current funding basis, and your motivation for joining the program.

Finding a home at BII was instrumental in the progress that Artisan was able to achieve in its first 2 years of operations.
Having plug-and-play space with a fully-functional lab and office space gave us the ability to start our technical research on day one and to build on our technology platform which led to a very successful Series A financing in late 2020.
We feel BII provides a product not available anywhere else in Denmark and gave us a unique opportunity as an early-stage startup.
By being part of the BII Residence program, Ankrin Therapeutics has had access to the dynamic community at BII, and the support of the professional BII team.
Moreover, BII has offered a creative environment as well as a wide range of activities and events providing opportunity for learning, inspiration and networking. This is of particular value to the younger scientists who may be in their first Biotech employment, and who at BII become part of a larger community than a small start-up can offer in itself.
Further, the BII offers state-of-art lab facilities which has been crucial to develop the company’s projects and assets. With lots of scientific innovation going on in the Copenhagen area, but limited opportunities for accessing lab facilities, the Residence Program at the BII has been critical in the transition from Creation House funded start-up at BII to an independent biotech.
