Konstantinos is a Senior Associate in BII’s Venture Creation team passionate about translational science and the business side of biotechnology. He has a combination of academic and venture capital experience. As an Associate at the venture fund Sunstone, he was responsible for scouting deals and for the due diligence of startup companies within therapeutics. His favorite areas of interest are gene therapies, novel treatments addressing metabolic diseases and agents against infectious diseases. He obtained his PhD from the university of Copenhagen where he studied viral evolution and dependency on human microRNAs.
