On September 28, Professor at Department of Health Technology at DTU, Anja Boisen, and COO and Cofounder of BluSense Diagnostics Robert Burger will visit BII for a Talk at the Square.
Anja Boisen and Robert Burger will show examples of their research and start-ups within micro/nanodevices for diagnostics and drug delivery. In this exclusive talk, they will share their learnings on starting new businesses in an academic environment.

About Professor Anja Boisen
Professor Anja Boisen is developing a miniaturized tabletop device that can perform therapeutic drug monitoring on a single drop of blood in a matter of minutes. Her research group works on a solution available at the point of care without specialized personnel and at a fraction of the currently available cost.
About Robert Burger, COO and Cofounder of BluSense Diagnostics
Robert Burger is a Cofounder and COO of BluSense Diagnostics. A company established in 2014 based on research from DTU Nanotech exploring whether magnetic nanoparticles can be applied for detecting biomarkers and turn them into valuable commercial products for diagnosing diseases. Today, BluSense Diagnostics has more than 50 employees in both Denmark and their subsidiary in Taiwan. Over the years, it has launched several tests for dengue fever and very recently a test to measure antibodies against Covid-19 to assess protection after vaccination.
