Astrolight receives EUR 2.8M investment to leverage its dual-use technology

The Lithuanian start-up Astrolight, one of the first companies to enter BII Quantum Lab in collaboration with NATO DIANA, just closed a €2.8 million seed round.

The round was led by tech investor Balnord, together with EIFO, Coinvest Capital, NGL Ventures, and Rita Sakus. The investment should bring Astrolight closer to fulfilling its mission of creating an end-to-end laser communication system to connect satellites, ground stations, and future space networks.

At BII, we are proud to have played a part in Astrolight's positive progress in leveraging its dual-use technology to strengthen societal resilience. Earlier this year, we were also pleased to see the company launch a Danish subsidiary to enhance collaboration across the Nordics and deliver secure laser communication solutions for space assets in the Arctic region.
